Participating in Paris-Dakar together
with fellow cyclist Bernard Hanciaux. No, not
by bike but in a Toyota Landcruiser, we reached

which resulted in an 8th place in the Belgian
Championship ½ triathlon at La Roche and
a 23th place in the ¾ triathlon of La Réunion |

Import of the first Cannondale bike,
an unknown brand for the Belgian and even the

Specialized got introduced on the

January 27, Filip Sport moves to
its new location in the Kasteelstraat.

Introduction to Race Face, the beginning of a

Filip Sport becomes the exclusive
Benelux dealer for Jamis, an American constructor
who produces attractive and light mountain and
hybrid bikes with a homogenous assembly and an
attractive price-quality ratio
Exclusive dealer for Race Face in Belgium. The
Netherlands and the G. D. of Luxembourg followed
soon after |

New chapters were added to the import
story. Entirely following the philosophy of Jamis
and Race Face, Pearl Izumi and WTB (Wilderness
Trail Bikes) were added. White Lightning, the
most successful and revolutionary lubricant follows |

Aluminum is in! Filip Sport CX frames
score an immediate success: "Made in Italy", nice
workmanship, light tubeset, personalized colours
and finishing. A bull's-eye

The family continues to grow with

distributor for Yeti, Swiss Eye and Schwalbe.
Filip Sport is the organisator of the Expo 5 bike

The Filip Sport website is selected
by Skynet as "Business Site" of the
week.
Filip Sport has been nominated for the trophy
"Independent Entrepreneur of the Year". |
2003 |
A sporting hybrid line as well as
a SuperLite MTB frame are added to the Xesco product
line.
The first prototypes of the RDL spare parts have
been tested.

Filip Sport becomes the
Seven distributor for the Benelux.
First Xesco
Meeting Day is organized in Harre.
The Xesco story continues with a carbon and
an aluminium-carbon road frame.
The RDL spare parts are becoming available and
gather quite some admirers and positive comments.
Expo5 grows and the fourth edition takes place
in a hall of 4.200 m².
